C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner simplifies Local GAAP reporting

With almost 2,000 agreements now collected in one digital platform, C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner has streamlined its administration and secured efficient, accurate Local GAAP reporting with Leasify.

C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner is a well-established company in the equipment rental industry with a strong presence in western Sweden. The company operates six depots located in Mölndal, Gothenburg, Kungälv, Stenungsund, Uddevalla, and Trollhättan. Through its group structure, the business has also expanded and established operations in both Gävle and Stockholm.

– We rent out everything from small handheld tools to large excavators, lifts, and similar equipment. We support our customers based on their specific needs – whether it’s a temporary solution or a long-term commitment. We also assist with financing and make sure the machines are available at the right place at the right time, says Kasper Jönsson, Head of accounting at C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner.

Kasper primarily works with the operations in western Sweden, and his responsibilities include the year-end closing, annual reports, and the consolidated financial statements for the entire company – including overall responsibility for Local GAAP reporting.

How Leasify became the solution

With the help of Leasify, C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner has now gathered nearly 2,000 agreements in Leasify’s platform. The day-to-day administration is primarily handled by the accounting assistant and the purchaser, but Kasper himself also uses the service.

– I’ve uploaded agreements myself, and I think it works very well. It’s easy to understand and simple to use,” he says.

Reports that provide a clear overview

One feature that is especially appreciated is the reporting function.

– I think the reports are excellent. The different tabs and the way everything is organized make it very clear. It really gives you a great overview of all parts, says Kasper.

He also compares his current experience with previous roles. Before joining C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner, Kasper had worked with Leasify at a larger bus company.

– As long as all data is entered correctly, it works just as well no matter which company you’re in. The only difference is how you use the reporting function. At the bus company, we used the reports more frequently, while here at C. Persson’s Hyrmaskiner we mainly use them annually. But regardless of setup, the platform works extremely well, he says.

Evolving in step with customer needs

When asked how he feels about Leasify’s ongoing development in close dialogue with its users, Kasper doesn’t hesitate. He explains that he has been in contact with Leasify’s developers and has had the opportunity to share various needs and ideas.

– There’s never been any problem at all,  he says.

Unexpected advantages with Leasify

Leasify has also brought some unexpected benefits:

– We sell some of the machines that we’ve had under lease agreements, and when we do, they need to be bought out. In Leasify, it’s very easy to see the buyout price for a specific month. That allows us to quickly set a fair price for a buyer, Kasper explains.

Everything gathered in one place

When asked what he appreciates most about Leasify, Kasper’s answer comes quickly:

– It’s the convenience of having everything gathered in one place. And being able to generate a report for each year is really useful. There are also other add-on modules in Leasify that we’re not using today but could become valuable for us in the future, Kasper concludes.
