When Infrakraft, Swedish company, chose Leasify to manage its leasing and rental agreements under IFRS 16 and Local GAAP, it wasn’t just about implementing a system. It marked the beginning of a close collaboration – one built on advisory support, structure, and ongoing guidance.
Infrakraft currently works with both IFRS 16 and local GAAP in parallel. This means managing the same contracts under two different accounting standards – a complex and time-consuming task that demands a high level of structure and precision.
– We’re not looking to become experts in this area ourselves, which makes it all the more valuable to have a partner who can truly lead the way. Leasify doesn’t just present the numbers – they explain what’s behind them, why they look the way they do, and what influences the outcome. That level of insight makes the delivery far more meaningful than just the final figures, says George Kojadinovic, Head of Accounting at Infrakraft.
He values that the insight comes without request. It's seamlessly embedded in the collaboration rather than something that needs to be requested.
– There’s a clear sense of proactivity in the delivery. We gain a lot of knowledge along the way without having to actively seek it out ourselves, and that’s something we truly value, he explains.
The collaboration between Infrakraft and Leasify is grounded in a structured monthly workflow, centered around clear communication, strong oversight, and mutual understanding.
– We have an ongoing collaboration where Infrakraft sends us their files each month. We go through them, perform the necessary checks, review new contracts, monitor changes, and handle any early terminations. We usually follow up with a brief meeting with George, just to ensure we're aligned and that nothing has been missed, says Theodor Röhr, Accounting Specialist at Leasify.
With the turn of the year approaching, the workload intensifies, and Leasify’s support becomes even more essential.
– Throughout the year, we maintain a good and flexible dialogue. We know what needs to be finalized right away and what can wait until the next month. But as we approach year-end closing, we always dedicate extra time to clean up and double-check everything. At that point, the collaboration with Leasify becomes crucial in ensuring the figures are fully accurate ahead of the audit, explains George.
– I think the reports work really well. They don’t change without purpose, and I can rely on the format being consistent every time. That makes it much easier to build on the material in our other systems. It provides a real sense of clarity and trust, George explains, and adds:
– I’ve used Leasify myself to manage lease contracts, create custom views, and test the forecast report. The system’s layout is easy to understand. Since I work closely with consolidation systems. I’m familiar with different interfaces, and I find Leasify’s setup straightforward and easy to work with.
Even though the system includes many features, he finds it logically structured.
– There are a lot of buttons, but that’s just because there’s so much to consider when it comes to the accounting effects of different contracts. I get why it looks the way it does. At the same time, it doesn’t feel like anything is irreversible. You’d have to try pretty hard to mess something up and that gives me confidence, he says.
It’s not just the ongoing dialogue and the monthly process that are appreciated in the collaboration with Leasify. The fact that Leasify also organizes and hosts seminars with well-established companies in the field is something he values highly.
– It’s incredibly convenient for us to have someone else take responsibility for coordinating these kinds of forums. Accounting standards are constantly evolving, and we’re not the kind of organization that actively seeks out that information on our own. That’s why we really appreciate when Leasify brings the right people together, arranges seminars, and gives us the chance to attend, listen, and ask questions, says George.
On a personal level, he also sees great value in meeting in person.
– I genuinely enjoy these in-person meetings. They create a completely different space for discussion, a chance to pick up on things and explore topics more freely, in a way that just doesn’t happen in digital formats, George concludes.
